Got back from my dealer after putting a $1k deposit down for a Ceramic Silver (Wet Cement) / Red Nappa Leather and I got my VIN too ;)

Everything went really well and after tax (Texas, full tax 6%), fees and rebates my total came to $48,900, I chose to do a 1k deposit with my lease and qualified for the tier 1 leasing program. Payments are at $760 / month.

It should be arriving December 20th!!!

edit. 12k miles a year, any questions just ask!

Nice, that's awesome.

Just curious, why did you choose AWD? I read in some reviews that RWD can be more fun to drive, but I'm sure you considered everything.

I must hate you as well, since you got one of the early batch. April for me. At least I won't have to deal with winter salts till then :P

Have fun waiting :)

Wet Cement? Is that the name of the color? So what did you sacrifice to get such a good price? Anything? Or is it the lease that brought down the total?

That total is after the lease cash which is like 6800 for the GT2 AWD.

Awd comes with torque vectoring... which is an awesome edition. The limited slip differential for rwd is only available for the yellow gt or gt1. Forgot which model has it. Since they are limiting the lsd I would jump on the awd as well. Torque vectoring is really nice.

I tested this myself on two audi s5 sportbacks. It does make a difference and this was on dry surface. On rainy or snow days I am sure it would be clutch.

P.s. the salesman did let me go wild with the cars to test their limits. Definitely a awesome salesman.

it sounds like awd is the way to go unless you're into drifting.

I agree. With the awd and torque vectoring it would make speeding through winding roads more stable. People complain it's not as fun. That depends on the individual. Fun for me is having power and ease of controlling it. I don't want to fight to stay in control lol.

I believe this is incorrect. LSD is available on GT2s as well. If you want a lesser model then yeah, it's only available for the yellow. So the OP would have had LSD had they not gotten the AWD.

The torque-vectoring on the S5 is mechanical (with the sports rear diff). The Stinger's is brake based. They are two very different systems with the S5's being much more effective.

Did you get a quote on the Audi S5?
Because I priced out a $63k S5 premiere plus w/ 19” rims, virtual cockpit and Nappa leather for less than $760 per month 36/12. The residual is much better at 63%, and the money factor is about the same at .00180. Plus you can use multiple security deposits to lower the MF to .00130. If you haggle 5-10% off msrp is achievable.
I LOVE the Stinger, but at that lease payment I’ll take an Audi over a Kia every time.

I wasn't looking to lease but buy.

I wasn' looking to lease I was looking to potentially finance one. I was going to get the premium plus with sport package and ventilated seats about 57,700k. Dumping the virtual cockpit and not getting the 19s. The standard 18s come in 19s on the a5. So I would just swap those rims. To me they are very nice and clean.

I don' care for the virtual cockpit for 2 reasons. New tech and probably very costly to replace in the future and the navigation map is not compatible with Google maps. Only the navi screen. Hence buying it to me the feature is not worth it. Since I built my own I would get less of a deal. They didn't have what I want in the u.s. so I decided to wait.

O dang thanks for reminding me it's a different system.

You are correct. If you want lsd on all colors you have to get the gt2. Which is disappointing. I hope this is because it's the cars first year and
I hope alot of the gt2 standard stuff will become options on the gt1 atleast.

Sorry for the late responses I'm plasi- dipping my Jeep today! Haha

Yeah I agree definitely need a road trip! :)

Nice, that's awesome.

I actually chose the AWD because I am moving to Michigan in January and will need the AWD. Or I would've just gotten the rwd...

No that's not the name haha but I think it's a much more accurate description!!
Yeah it was the lease cash that helped so much, and it was at MSRP, no markup!

Question: SeanMcCub, at this point do you plan on purchasing after your lease is up?
I'm not sure yet, it depends how much I like it and if the newer models have changed much, I bet by 2021 we'll have self-driving cars ;)

But I did pay taxes on the full amount so the best thing would be to keep it after the lease...
