Howdy all.

I've ordered parts: Injen Intakes, SSR Downpipes, and Thermal R&D Catback. I was wondering if a tune would be necessary once these are installed. I'm fairly new to all of this, and I've seen lots of reviews of these parts being installed, individually or with similar parts from other companies with no tune. Also have seen that the ECU(?) will automatically adjust fuel/air ratio.

Just want to make sure I'm not going to hurt the ole gal by helping her breath easier.

Still waiting to pick up for re-paint, so probably a couple weeks out before the fun begins.

Thanks!

This is kind of where im at, Stilen intakes, Soon SSR downpipes and borla exhaust. Dont really want to mess with the ECU to much.

Honestly you dont need a tune with those mods you will be perfectly fine. All a tune will do is maximize the power/potential of those mods your adding. To answer your questions yes you can do those mods and not tune the car. If anything get a JB4 and you are set .....

Would a Borla free up any HP? Haven't been able to find any notable mentions. Is Borla's primarily focused on fuel efficiency and sound?

Yes you will free up hp with the borla exhaust. I reccomend you do some more research on this forum all the info is avalaible. The oem exhaust is very restrictive. You will see the biggest hp gains from down pipe ... for the price of the borla you can get the ssr downpipes and axle back and that will net you the biggest gains. There are videos on you tube and on this forum on the sound clips . At the end of the day is your call what you want to mod. I personally went with ssr down pipes and axle back. Also look at the thread for DIY intakes you can get intakes for under 100 dollars no need to spend 400. Hope this helps

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

You just gave yourself 50-60 HP and if you want to make that 120HP add a tune but you dont need to.
