GT vs Chevy SS

Good to see some Aussie built muscle having a run on the other side of the pond. It’s a shame we don’t make them any more. I love my new Stinger, but I’ll always have a soft spot for the Holden Commodore, especially the last ones made, there’s just something about the rumble of that big LS3 V8

I was under the impression that our US model SS used the LS2, pre-GDI. Was I mistaken, or did you get the LS3 in Australia?

Again, higher mph roll unfavorable for us; but still nice outcome.

The Chevy SS used the LS3 all years in America. The LS3 is not direct injected. The new GM LT1 is direct injected.

You're probably thinking about the GTO. Used LS1 in 2004 and LS2 in 2005 and 2006.

Auto transmission won the race for this Stinger.

True and wonder if the 5k rpm start hurt his chances.:unsure:Also I think short shifting to stay in our torque peak may have helped too.

Anyone seen a roll run using paddles to shift early? Think the other “GT vs M4” video used paddles but unsure if he was short shifting.

Series 2 VF SS Commodore (MY16 onwards) had LS3, US version was released about 2014 (series1)and also had LS3. The series 1 in Australia (2013-2015) had a 6.0L V8 before upgrading to the 6.2L LS3

F6 310 cleans them all up,nothing like a Barra Turbo motor. Then when you mod the 310 it becomes a monster(still wish I had of kept my 700hp Nitro FG F6 310).
