Hi all, I’m interested in this system & after honest opinions.
Also is the owner of this Stinger a forum member or does anyone know them, I want to know if there is any drone & who fitted it etc.

I agree, this is what I’m leaning towards, I think from $2200-$2800 could be wrong that’s why I would like to contact this owner I think it may be @Adam Augustynowicz but not sure.

There should be no drone with any bimodal in closed position.

Maybe a different story open just cruising.

I have the oem bimodal and it's always closed when cruising, no drone.

Ive seen them advertised for around 1400 + another 450 for the control module from a local Australian Vendor I wont mention the name here but feel free to send me a PM) I think they have it currently advertised for around 1700 but they always have sales with 10 to 20% off.

Hi @D-C thanks for that, I’m assuming those figures you are quoting are for supply only, X-Force sells the whole kit for $1950 which is $100 more, pricing I quoted was supply & fit with electrics for control module.

Hi mate yes your right that was supply only
 
Not sure if it is correct but have read that bi modal exhausts are illegal if you can control them via a switch unlike KIAs and HSV controlled via the ecu
 
pictures show this include the downpipes too. anyone able to confirm?

Do you have that article or link, is it just relevant to Vic?
 
I think this varex exhaust is very quiet and not very lively but that's just me - im one of those people who actually like drone and super loud pops and bangs etc - hence the name

But all the aftermarket exhausts sound almost like stock, how do I get a nice open exhaust sound from the car?

I want it to sound like this 6 cylinder turbo.. if BMW can do it why cannot KIA??

I’m sure any performance exhaust shop can do that, but noise is also based on what is done to the engine, this BMW sounds cammed/souped up, a stock v6 Kia Stinger engine is not going produce that noise IMO.

Thanks for this it prompted me to email X-Force re: legality & noise compliance in NSW & this is the reply I got back from them & I quote:
“Sorry no we have not designed this system to meet Australian Road laws. System has been designed for race or off road purposes with optimal power in mind however without being over the top in volume, use on public roads is of the Owners discretion”.
Well that’s that option down the toilet, no way am I spending $2.4k on a system that’s illegal that a savvy cop could decide to defect it & then I would have to remove & refit std OE system.
It’s either keep it standard or do more research, anyone know of a legal catback setup besides the Kia bi-modal offering?

:eek:Wow! No offense but why pay 8-10x the price of muffler delete(MD) for basically the same sound?!? I understand people are worried about drone, but you can get a MD with drone pipes added for $300-$500!
My local muffler guy did a dope custom muffler delete with side silencers, zero drone and powder coated my tips for $500. Sounds way more aggressive and ever feels quicker. I love everything about it and did I mention zero drone! Sounds like it should now great cold start and warmed up.

Yes I saw this one as well, maybe worth considering.
 
Surely someone in the exhaust game can come up with an exhaust cat back system with smaller mufflers and no restrictions that's has a better sound without being to loud and illegal . Only a thought.
