I’ve found a gas station that has e85 pump near me. I’ve seen guys online running 30% e85 with the JB4. I’m thinking of trying it out on my car. Is there any tuning that needs to be done to run this or will the maps play nice. I don’t plan on running it every tank but if I go to the track or wanna run a higher map would be nice to have the option.

Just mix it in and enjoy. Make sure JB4 has the fuel control wires installed and setup properly though first or you'll sputter.

Are we all sure our fuel pumps and fuel rails will handle e85? Corrosive crap that E85 is.

My fuel wires are installed I just have to input the fuel settings again. Is there a way to know the fuel lines are hooked up correctly? I made a mistake and put one of the connections wrong but there was no way of knowing I did that until I looked. Are there e85 specific maps?

Adam so you are good to go now with the fuel wires in proper position? Did you get firmware 4 installed? did you put the fuel bias in place with correct numbers? I would do like Terry said put 4/5 gals in a tankful of good gas.....didnt he say 91 was the best and 94 was crap up there? i would not trust straight E85 up there....so map 1 and 2 ought to be daamn nice? :) Wash

oh....you will see your fuel trims and afr's in the csv log...that will tell you that the wiring is working

I have to see the CSV log to confirm, fuel trims bank to bank should be relatively close to each other.

Yup yup yup all seems to be working smoothly now. I just gotta try some new gas now to clear up the small amount of ping I get.

I opened up the log and and that’s crazy how much data this thing keeps in those logs. The afr are similar but I’m not sure how close they should be I snapped a picture.

run up to auto store and get you a good brand of octane booster and put it in your tank....if it were me I would be more concerned about octane in the gas,,,vs the E85...yes alky has higher octane and less btu's...but Who knows whats in the E85 up where you are?.....I would want my octane up in the tank firstly before i go guessing on the E85 .....Wash

I can't use a photo of the CSV. You open the CSV in the JB4 windows interface to chart the log. Since this forum doesn't allow CSV files to be posted for some reason, do as I asked in your other posts. If you'd like tuning assistance post them to n54tech.com.

Will do I signed up already just need to get to a computer iOS does not let you post the files from what I see.

Yeah for sure I’m going to try shell 91 next tank from what I read online it’s better then the chevron 94. I used to run chevron 94 in my 515whp 240 with no issues but that had methanol injection as well.
