Mud Guards

So since you have had the mud guards on for a while now, would you say they have been worth it in regards to keeping muck off the car? They seem pretty small compared to other mud guards and I was curious to hear if they still did a decent job.
Yes they work well BUT , given their discreet size and shape you will still get some spray and mud beyond their profile , I would definitely reco putting these on though

But they do work! I have them on and no mud. Unless your driving through a mud bath.

I had them fitted on Wednesday and has been raining since, I was noticing a bit of pitting/shot blasting happening on the wheel arch lip so I got these to reduce further damage, I have no intention of driving through mud...lol.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if they would be worth it because they are smaller than normal mudflaps.
expensive for what they are, but KIA knows they are really a necessity, so they can demand the price.

You can check mine out in a couple of weeks on the meet & run.

I dont like them. Them guards as small as they are ......YUCK. Just my opinion.

I'm thinkin grabbing a set of these and I have a couple questions for the guys that have installed them. I think I would just be installing mine for winter use and removing them in the summer. Do the mudguards sit directly against your paint with no barrier between them? I'm worried they will rub off the paint where they make contact, I'm thinking I might buy some clear 3M wrap to protect the paint under them.

they sit directly on the paint , removal and re install could be done but honestly they are so subtle you'll never notice them .............and you would probably risk more damage in the process ..................

FWIW, they are actually called Splash Guards:

"Help protect your new Stinger from the chips and blemishes that can come from road debris with these specially designed, custom fitted splash guards. Genuine Kia Accessory! Front & Rear Splash Guards (Complete set of 4)."

And, YES, they work quite well on Bella.

The only way that the mud guards could damage the paint are not well seated in place or are not well fasten in place....

I disagree, the splash guards are under immense pressure when they're being slapped with slush and debris at 60mph, so they will flex, and when they do, chances are that will wear the paint down in the spots.
