Ive only had my Stinger gt for a few weeks now and love it...or used to. I have just had the X-force varex exhaust fitted and it drones like a bitch, valves open or closed. X-Force
have told the installer to coke it up for a month or so and it will fix it ,I have my doubts I think it's beyond that. Anybody else experienced this? Any ideas ?

I have the same system. Extra resonators just before the mufflers and extending the pipes so they all sit inside the tips has minimised it to a point that it doesn’t bother me anymore.

What does coke it up for a month mean ? Simply drive it around for a month ?

Thats it drive it for a month. Did x-force pay for the resonators?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Lol no why would they. It’s not like they guarantee a drone free system or your money back. All systems drone. You just have to minimise it.
I beg to differ a well designed system should never drone. Ive had about 6 custom systems on various over the years and NO drone. This is the first off the shelf system I have used and this one sucks. The more I look into it the more problematic it appears to be with the Stinger, I am talking with X- Force at the moment.

Yep, put my thoughts on the exhaust discussion. My resonator from X-Force had a rattle (a piece broke inside) and valves stopped working eventually. Replaced with the Borla; never felt happier.

Here is my post: 3.3TT - Kia Stinger Aftermarket Exhaust Information and Discussion

Well everyone has their lemon stories. My X-force works great and I am happy with it. Could I have spent double the money and got a better system ? Probably. But i didn't want to spend $3k on an exhaust.

Yeah to be fair, you did get it for a steal of a price second hand; so really was a good buy (and you cant argue with a bargain). Cheapest X-Force full system I found new including install was $2,080, which was only 850$~ off my current setup.

For the member catback, as bulldozer said if you put extra resonators to help with drone and tips (tips I would recommend regardless of aftermarket exhaust) I believe it would sound a lot better in cabin.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. As far as the tips go, are these just ordinary extensions to extend them further though the false chrome ones.
How does that work? Would they rattle or do you pad them out somehow.

Oh just to change the subject what sort of fuel consumption should I expect to get. In traffic I was a bit horrified when I Checked.....14 L/100km.
Mixed driving a lot better about 11L/100kl. Is this what guys are getting? I am a newbie and realised this subject has probably been covered before but I couldn't find it.

Yes that is standard. I average 8L/100k on long highway runs, and about 13L/100 around town.
