There's wrinkles in the right-hand mirror post. Kia said it would be covered under warranty. Here's my question; I've seen a couple mentions of it elsewhere: I have clear PPF on the mirror caps. If they replace the whole mirror (which they said they would), am I on the hook for redoing the PPF, or should Kia cover it? Second image is left side for comparison.

I doubt they will cover the reinstallation of ppf and I wouldn’t waste your money on the ppf again. Those mirror caps are like $40 on amazon for the pair lol.

Really? Do they come off easy? Like if one got damaged and I needed to swap it out?

You can buy them on eBay and Amazon from my quick google search, I know people swap them out for carbon fiber all the time no issues. My passenger one was scratched by a tree branch and I lightly polished it, which removed the scratched but put spider swirls all over it. Going to buy a replacement pair soon since they’re so cheap.

I’m sure the clear ppf makes it easier to maintain and clean but if it’s expensive to install that film, replacement caps would be the cheaper option imo.
