Hi folks, two questions that impact a few pieces I plan to wrap on the interior.

There's a rectangle black piece above the map, radio, etc. buttons that reports the occupant detection system (ODS) ... the thing that says the passenger airbag is off. There's a small 'hole' on the left side. I've searched and can't seem to identify its purpose (sensor, clip release, ?). Anyone know so I can feel safe wrapping over this piece ... I really don't need to know the passenger air bag status.

There's a small smooth plastic piece that fits around the steering wheel buttons on both sides. Anyone know how to remove it so it can be wrapped properly? It almost looks like it would pop off with a pry tool but I'm reluctant if there's more to it and don't want the plastic to snap or permanently bend.

1) reset button

2) remove steering wheel and disassemble.
1. I thought it looked like a push button ... assuming it resets the occupant detection system but when would this ever need to be done other than the system malfunctioning?

2. Was afraid of that. Probably beyond my comfort level. Guess I can try wrapping with it in place. I might search for a 'how to' to see just how complex disassembling would be ...

Little help from youtube ... I see it has screws holding the piece under the airbag ... good thing I didn't try the pry tool. Looks like it's part of one larger pieces joining both sides. Popping the airbag out looks simple enough and probably all that's needed to free the piece I'm looking at.

I did the steering wheel the first month I owned the stinger.

It isn’t bad at all.

The reset is for the media/head unit
