I am relatively happy with my GT2 but I would like to know for people who own one now , would you trade it for the new model now?
If there was not such a big change over, i think I would.

The car I bought was close enough to perfect for me. I don't worry about "better" ones later. The car remains despite any changes to later models. And the car I have gives me pleasure and fun on many levels. Just looking at it. Listening inside the musical cocoon. Listening to the engine change pitch. Accelerating; cornering; passing any time I want; taking care of her; car washes; talking about all things Stinger; road trips are a joy (never were before); driving, all of it, all the time, even going slow in rush hour ...

Well put Merlinthemad. Every year in many items we buy there’s always something better, slicker, cooler, flashier and not always worth it. I’m not take a depreciation bath to get a few new goodies. I’m enjoying the hell out of this car. (GT 2 AWD)
Every time I get in it!! I’ll be happy for more than several years leaving a bunch of my neighbors jealous too!

I have the GT Micro Blue trim, great car in so many ways. But a couple of improvements, in my opinion would get me to switch (hypothetically speaking) in a second. Better paint quality and more growl to the exhaust, to name a few. Yes you can mod your exhaust but I’m not trying to void any warranty.

Very happy with the AU GT (GT2) I have now & the mods/accessories I have added, I just want to add X-Force bi-modal exhaust + front & rear Eibach Sway Bars then I’m done for the time being & just want to enjoy this car for a few more years.

DJI_0300.webp My GT2 AWD is an original, priceless, one of a kind work of art now with all customization I've done. Think I'll keep it.:)

Maybe in the next model design if they give it some tech that the K9 has but as is, it is a great car and i’m Liking it more and more each day!

Not worth changing it over at 3 months, that being said wouldn’t mind some of the features they are now offering but to be honest most of them could be gained by a software update or connecting a plug here or there. If they offer that to existing owners I’d consider the update but not sell. Also some stronger paint would be nice given how quickly I’m getting stone chips. I’m glad they aren’t offering the bimodal as standard yet because then I’d be annoyed given it’s a $2600 accessory at this point. I’m still considering getting it or another brand, not sure.

I’m considering the X-Force Varex Catback System, check the vid I posted on this in the exhaust section, I’ve heard the Kia offering in the flesh & this sounds better & cheaper that what Kia quoted me.

The new model? Surely you mean the new model year. The model hasn't changed.

I would... but that is just because i would have really of liked to have an option for 360 cams.... but im am financing mine. I wont take that large of a hit for it.

I almost waited for the 2019 Atlantica (obviously cancelled but they put the tech in the 2019) so I could get the 360 camera. I’m glad I didn’t wait because I don’t miss the 360 camera. I loved it in my Murano because I had a weird inability to park it straight and between lines.

I’d be a little bummed if the phone remote start was on the US 2019, but hopefully the aftermarket solution I want will be compatible with the Stinger soon.

Heh! My challenge exactly with the Stinger! I'm working on it ...

I'm waiting, may not at all.....yeah I'm that satisfied.

Now that the info on the 2019s have been posted, there is nothing of consequence in them to make me change mine. What I would like for them to do is figure out a way to offer more storage in the center console, for phones with cables and add a USB plug in the covered area. Make the cabin quieter, that's my biggest pet peeve. A wider screen like in the K900 and similar tech, oh and offer options like a Sport Package that tightens up the car more or at least a sportier setting with the adaptive suspension.

Now that I have seen the article about the D-AWD version they are testing, that and more tech certainly will make me give serious thought to upgrading.

I would love the ventilated seats on the GT1 since I don't have them .The cameras are not a big deal.

I'll still wait but it would be nice to have those.

No need to trade in for us Canadian owners. The GT Limited has everything. I find it really interesting how many package options are offered on the US spec Stingers. Not sure why Kia does that? The top 2019 US spec Stinger has just caught up with the Canadian Spec GT Limited. Nothing new in the 2019 model other than re-packaging. I kind of like how us Canadians don't need to pick packages, rather one package has it ALL.

Got everything I need and it was good being amongst the first and the early badge swap really baffled them. Loved sitting alfresco across the road watching the "Punters" Double taking and pawing over the beast. Lol aren't I shallow .
