I would much rather have the painted mirrors and trim bezels on that car than the goofy styled black chrome on mine..

I honestly can’t stand the black chrome and the shark teeth on the bottom grill..

I also have the base GT and would rather have the 2.0T exterior trim.. I hate the black chrome on my car..

I feel that way about GTs.. haha. I have the base RWD. Just few more thousands... Ugh

I love the black chrome. But there's not a thing inferior about the appearance of the 2.0T trims.

"Shark teeth", lol. Those direct more air to the Brembos, which is a "cool" feature. But does it make the GT trims more cool looking? No. I like the one and only case of a hood with no "air vents" in it that somebody posted months ago. A completely featureless hood actually looks very sleek. I understand that the ersatz hood vents are place holders for if/when someone mods their engine to want more air intakes. But those of us with solid plastic place holders might feel a little bit self conscious about that bit of kitsch.

I am a minimalist at heart and always side with less is more.. And I know the reason behind the design.. doesn’t mean I like the look... hahaha..

I just view things like black chrome as a fad that can be time stamped to a particular time window.. would much rather it be chrome or painted..

I see that fads are a bad thing to you. In the world of well preserved, restored and rare car collecting, the Stinger may very well turn into one of those. There is nothing wrong with dating cars to fads, it's part of the fun! The vintage cars that get collected are replete with weird fads, that's what makes the cars stand out long afterward.
