Wireless Apple Car Play

I've been using the CPLAY2air adapter for just over a month and it has been working well for me following an initial firmware update of the adapter. I've only had one glitch and it seemed like it rebooted and came back on after about 30 seconds.



I was looking at this exact adapter and was wondering if you need to use the main USB port in the front or if you can run it off the rear seat usb? Have you tried that yet? I’m just curious because that would be so much more discreet

As far as I know these will only work off the main USB for CarPlay. The units are small enough to discreetly fit in the console out of the way.

The rear seat usb doesn’t run car play or data as far as I know, pretty sure it’s only for charging. Have to run them off the front usb. I got one for Xmas, it works fine and the device is small enough to fit as is shown in the above post, albeit a different brand

Does it do mirror imaging do you know?

The device as far as I know just runs a standard CarPlay interface all it does it allow your phone to connect wirelessly instead of running cables to operate CarPlay. I haven’t really tried to do anything with it other than basic stuff, but that works very well.
