Wiper Blade issues

Hello All,

I have a new 2019 Stinger GTS (Special Edition)
I noticed that when I lifted the wiper blade on the passenger side the arm hits the hood.
I now have a scratch on the wiper arm and most importantly and most frustrating is there is a scratch in my clear coat on my hood.
I took it the dealership I bought it from and they took pictures and called me a few days later said the claim was denied so I called Kia direct and I am still waiting or a resolution now 1 week later when I was told it would only be 24 hours.
Any one experiencing this same thing?

They probably wont cover that since it was user error. Nothing is wrong with your car all Stingers are like this. You need to put the car into wiper mode if you need to change the wiper blades or clean under them:

That's very helpful thank you. Not sure why the dealership didn't know that and no one at the Kia number I called said anything about it.

I'm surprised the dealer didn't tell her about this when she took it in... is it possible they didn't know either?

Geez, how hard did you lift it to do that much noticeable damage? haha

didn't realize it when we picked the car up but when we had it ceramic coated a couple weeks later they pointed out that exact scratch when they were going over the car to begin with. Very frustrating.
