Does anyone notice their wipers skipping? Specifically the driver's side (longer) wiper, towards the bottom? I can see it visibly skipping in that area. This is even after new wipers, and a pretty decent cleaning of the windshield.

Curious if anyone's seen similar and had any quick fixes before I contact the dealer.

I believe I know the issue you're talking about, but I don't think there is going to be a good answer to solve it. I was driving in the rain this morning and noticed some "skipping" also on my driver's side wiper.

The issue is caused by a lack of lubricity between the wiper and the windshield. Essentially the wiper is doing too good of a job and causing a dry spot. The dry spot increases friction, thus a "skip" happens. This could be due to the type of blades you're using or just an artifact of the design of the car (maybe the blade pushes harder against the windshield on that specific spot in the travel).

I would try using higher grade blades (silicone Rain-X or Bosch), turning the frequency of the wipers down so that more rain builds between wipes, or using a hydrophobic coating (like Rain-X) which will add more lubricity to the surface and/or cause you to not need the wipers as much.

Use a ceramic hybrid wax (next time you wax your car)... you can apply on all surfaces. Including glass.
Clean the class first with synthetic clay bar and detailer.

wash. Apply HCW per instructions. Clean wiper blades.

should solve issue.
