I have been looking to replace the wipers as they are smudging a bit. Any replacements I've looked at online don't look exactly the same as what's on the car. They don't seem to have the outer shell. Does that matter?

I can't see my wiper blades atm, (I'm at work and the Stinger is at home) but is the shell you're talking about just part of the wiper assembly on the car?

Why go with something other than OEM? These wipers are the best I've ever had.

Does not matter. The added benefit to the shell is their aerodynamic efficiency when working. There are certainly better options than OEM. I've been using the one below with excellent results

I have been very satisfied with the Bosch Icon series. Aerodynamic curve on them to keep contact with windshield and work great in the winter time.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
+1 for Bosch Icons

Make sure you or whoever is replacing your wiper blades puts the wipers in the locked up position by holding the holding the windshield wiper lever in the up position for 3 seconds while turning off the car. If someone tries to change the blades while the wipers are in the down position they will contact the back of the hood and chip the paint; there are several threads on this site about that.
