Does anybody else’s window trim look like it’s peeling? If so how do I go about this issue?

Stop washing your car with acid.

Known common issue with Stingers unfortunately. Have a look at the forum mentioned by SafetypilotCal. Should be covered by new car warranty though.

Take it to a Kia dealer and show em. Mine looked the same, the dealer was quite eager to replace the trim (they said they had never seen it before but were pretty fast to offer to replace it)

start at the B pillar and just pull it off. The metal trim kind of wraps around the end of the rubber piece, but the rubber is so flexible you can just kind of peel it back. once the end is off it just peels out/off easily. the stuff on the doors is just pushed in between the rubber on the top and bottom edges. it comes right off. no snaps or clips or anything. wrap it and put it back in. you'll see how to get it off when you take a close look at it. the trim around the rear hatch has several clips holding it in. start at the low point and work up towards the roof, slow and easy. it helps if the ambient temps are not too cold so the clips are more flexible. I've had mine off a few times and even broke a couple clips. the rest of the clips hold it in just fine. one note, when you get to the top of the hatch, by the roof, the last clip is actually designed to slide off a little metal post instead of just popping straight off like the other clips. I can't remember if it slides towards the rear of the car or towards the roof, but it only slides one direction and it only has to move a few millimeters to come off. I also broke one of those, but again, the rest of the clips still hold it on just fine. Hope that all makes sense.

Thanks. Does the rubber come off with the trim at the rear hatch or is it just the metal piece as well?

rubber comes off too. it's all one piece. just kind of pry the rubber up to get things started, down at the bottom.

On the doors you can just peel the metal piece off? No rubber at all? I'm confused. You wouldn't happen to have a video would you? I want to wrap them in the spring.

on the doors, just the metal comes out from between the rubber. just look closely and you'll see a tiny rubber strip on the top and bottom of the trim piece. the metal strip is just pushed in between there. start at the B pillar for both front and back doors. just push it up and away from the car. sorry don't have a video, but once you get the end started, it comes out very easily. Actually just double checked, for the back door, start at the back end by the hatch. the metal strip is kind of wrapped around on the end. so start at the back of each door. B Pillar for front door and c pillar for back door. The rubber surrounding the trunk piece comes off with the metal. all one piece.

Thank you

Does anyone know if there is a video for this removal yet?
