Will the G70 Shooting Brake make the Stinger more popular in the US?

As long as kia keeps abysmal sales stinkers like the cadenza and k900 in the lineup, the stinger isn't going anywhere.

In the US there are already several direct competitors to the Stinger.

• Audi A5 / S5 Sportback
• VW Arteon

Ironic because they are from the same company.

I wouldn't say the S5 competes against the Stinger though. Even at the most basic trim without options the S5 is 18k more than the Stinger. In order to compete they have to be in the same price range. It also has less HP.

The Arteon is closer in price at only 2k more than the top trim Stinger but it has 100 less HP from its 4 cylinder engine.

Consider... Mitsu Ralliart sedan outsold Sportback 10:1.

(But I LOVED my Ralliart Sportback and would jump to the G70 wagon if available )
