Hi everyone, I've been thinking of adding intakes and a catback to my '18 Stinger. I dont want it to be too loud as I still want it as a cruiser. However, I don't have valves on my '18 model and the videos on youtube show them being too aggressive

The video I linked above has the perfect sounds for me, but I think thats with the valves closed on the new model. Is there a better intake/exhaust suggestion for minor burbles and pops on my stock '18 Stinger?

sound is very subjective when it comes to exhausts. having said that, as long as you keep it to catback only, and replace the tips, most of the aftermarket units will give some nice burbles and not be too loud. Once you start replacing cats and downpipes, things start getting loud.

Each exhaust and additional mods will create its own unique sound. If you want to sound like the car in the video you would need to go with the Borla Exhaust (FOUND HERE). Intakes are usually one of the first mods I do since they increase performance and sound and come a little cheaper than a catback. Doing both at the same time is a great way to increase flow and get both exhaust and induction noise making the car much more enjoyable when you push the go pedal. Keep in mind Borla is the most aggressive option but in my experience on its own its not overly loud by any means, this is incredibly subjective though. I would suggest taking some time to browse through the different exhaust options and listening to the sound clips to get a feel for what best suits you and your needs (CLICK HERE).

And then they sound sexual.. until they start blowing smoke .

You can buy the Bi Modal exhaust as an option from Kia.

It was initially invented by a company in Australia as an after market accessory and later adopted by Kia as a factory fitted item

This is an Australian dealer Ad. You should be able to find it over there.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I have the BORLA exhaust, K&N intakes, JB4, and a Pedal Commander. It’s loud when I get on it but subtle at Cruising speeds. I always drive with it on Sport but noticed Comfort always quiets it down to much. Comfort also quiets down the intakes as well. It’s truly two different cars, in the way it drives and sounds. But that’s my opinion. And I also noticed that changing the Pedal Commander settings, changes the way my intakes sound. I have the plugs on the intakes with the factory BOVs vented to atmosphere.
‘19 GT1 rwd btw.

Yeah, no.. Not worth the time and money to me. Stock exhaust it is. I do like the Bi-modal option though.
