Hey folks,
I have a GT2 and the factory tires are great, but ride rough and I struggle to keep from curbing the rims. Ugh. Has anyone put slightly wider tires on the stock 19s for more comfort and a bit more rubber?

Say it ain't so! You don't want to steal my crown do you? ;):D

The widest tires recommended for 8 in front and 8.5 in the rear are 245 and 255; so, Kia already put the widest recommended tires in the rear. If you go wider in front you will run into rubbing; but I don't know at what point. Also, a wider tire in front will increase this car's already noticeable oversteer.

Going wider won't improve the ride smoothness. To get that you'd have to go to a smaller OD wheel and increase the sidewall (reduce the aspect ratio).

Thank you! Maybe I'll just put all seasons on, factory recommended size. That should help a bit with the ride, eh?

All season or whatnot i have 245/40 and 265/35 works and looks good

The Nitto Motivo A/S that I run in winter are quieter and give a softer ride than the Michelin summer tires do.
