Why do some Stingers have their rims covered with protective plastic, and some do not.??

They are shipped from the factory in Korea with the protective wrap on to prevent corrosion while being transported across the ocean, and it helps prevent scuffs. They usually take the protective wrap off at the port before driving them onto a trailer and sometimes the dealership will remove it.

Thanx for the info, when i saw my Stinger at the dealership holding yard for the first time, it had the protective plastic on all the normal places except the rims, maybe like you said, they were removed at the port of arrival, just before loading on the truck ?
