I have had a deposit on a red GT2 Stinger since Dec 15th in the NOVA area. I was told expected delivery was Dec 26th per "the computer", and then later on Jan 3rd. Later the 13th. I am now being told Jan 23rd. I have a specific VIN so I do believe my car exists, somehow, somewhere. This is absurd IMO and the people at Kia can't tell me anything about what is actually going on with the car as far as why there is a delay.

Where is it (if you had to guess) ? Stuck on some boat at customs? Still in South Korea? I tend to hope its incompetence on Kia's side not being taken for a ride by the dealer, but you obviously ever know. This is incredibly frustrating. I am supposed to get a loaner in the meantime which would be a nice gesture as I already sold my other car.

Jeez. Sorry to hear about this. I hope you get that loaner very soon. I can't imagine what could be going on but maybe somebody else will comment who's going through the same thing...

I can't speak for your dealer. I cant imagine that they would ever joy ride it. I have seen crazier things happen but our stingers went straight to the show room and they were not even sold orders. I would assume it is more so the shipping companies used and not necessarily the manufacturer. We had a Silverado that was showing in inventory and shipped with a vin and invoice 5 weeks ago. Just received it today off of the truck. The shipping companies normally run into something like weather or holidays and it throws a huge wrench in everything. So, in my opinion your dealer probably knows about as much as you do but isn't clarifying that to you as well as they should. Sometimes salesman get a bit nervous to tell you something you wont want to hear such as " I have no clue where it is but I'm working on more information and as soon as I get that info ill relay it to you" But most time hearing that would be sufficient. Good communication is key. Sorry this doesn't get you any closer to driving that stinger of yours but hopefully sheds some light on the process.

Man I feel your pain, my last car turned up 3 weeks late ... and the dealer just kept telling me they had no idea where it was, they just knew it left the factory. Even when I finally got it they didn't say anything. It's hard but be patient ;)

Hang in there, it is coming. I was at Ourisman today and they got a delivery of 5 cars, 3 white, a silver and a black that I saw on the showroom floor to replace the Korean display version, plus the black 2.0T AWD I drove, no GT other than the Blue though. I'm guessing the weather is the hold up for them getting to the dealers.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I put a deposit down on October 18th for a Ceramic Silver GT2. Still no idea when it's coming.

Just got word from dealer if you ordered late last year your order did not make production run. I’m now getting the car April, what a joke!

I'm sorry to hear that guys, hopefully it will not take too Long until the cars arrive.
I bought mine december 28 and my dealer told me, it will arrive around may/june so fingers crossed

I could cancel the deal but I have kept order and asked for compensation which they agreed to.

What do you mean by compensation ?

A very good trade in price deal if I can’t sell my Optima privately and lots of free accessories. If it goes past April I’m going to ask for the bimodal exhaust at a cheaper price.

Car finally was delivered to my house today by the Kia dealership....3 weeks late but man is it worth the wait. I'm replacing EX-L Honda Accord so unfair comparison but wow this thing flies on sport lol.

Congrats on finally getting the car. I know a few of the dealers here have started to get some inventory in, the red color was a big part of the inventory listing on KIA site. A couple of Ceramic Silvers and Silver with the Red interior are now in stock. I’ll have to go check them out.

Congratulations, @MichaelJR! Finally! What was it like driving home? The EX-L Accord is really nice - but you're right - not in the same class as the Stinger. Let's see some pictures! :p

They actually drove it to me! I live in Annapolis and the dealership I bought was in Woodbridge. They came out to do the paperwork and deliver. Needless to say I didn't get any great discount . I am still in the giddy to go do errands mode. I am sure it wears off but its pretty frigging awesome right now.

Dude, that is awesome! If they keep treating folks that way, as a dealer, this would make things good in the eyes of KIA customers and they can generate more business. I'm one that buys from any place that treat me well and offers a great deal. Those places I send business to.

Great pictures! Thank you for posting them up! And that's a really nice area you're living in. :)

Yeah guy next to me has a bentley and other luxury cars. I'm excited as hell to have the Stinger but my neighbors still owning me :D
