Where did Waze go?

So I get into my car this morning and connect Android Auto and start driving when I realize Google maps pops up instead of Waze like it normally does. So I go back to the menu and Waze is nowhere to be found. Anyone else experiencing this?

I don't know if it's related to your issue, but many Google services appear to be having a widespread outage (and Waze is a Google product). I had to reconfigure my network as I use Google DNS just to continue regular internet.

Edit - maps is back, waze is online but has no local data, dns and cloud services still offline.

could also be the fact that since most of us aren't driving, google might have just turned it off(?) because of what eflyguy posted.

Waze is pretty useful for reporting cops. That's what I mainly use it for lol.

Well I still have my radar detector and it did tell me of CHP on my way to work. So I'm not totally in the dark lol. The R3 is a great tool.

Only a problem if you get caught . Lol I ran it in Canada, even drove past a cop.

It was about 15 minutes for maps and waze.

The only reason I knew is because my DNS went out. I checked maps to verify it was a google issue. News, search, some cloud services were all gone.

Are'nt those radar detections totally useless? As soon they beep, they already got your speed on their radar gun..

Totally not useless here. You are talking about lasers, they are instant and a detector will only held if you where not the intended target. Radar takes a bit more time to hit you and you have a higher chance of catching stray bands. So your detection range is longer. Also the cops here like to sit with it on and then just pull over the highest number. That means I get like a 1 - 2 mile warning before the cop even sees me. It has saved me so many times. Back in my reckless days in my Honda Wagon I hit 140mph one night and all of a sudden I hear whop whop KA band whop. Should have seen my face. Radar detectors save lives

I plead the 5th but the 2 tickets I have so far cost me over 1k. I don't want to even think about what it could have been without the R3 lol. Even now I sometimes set my cruise at like 15 over the limit and just blast past cops when I know they don't have the radar on. I have had one on a motorcycle blast me, I slowed down, he drove up to my window, saw the detector and flew away. They like to go for the easy targets lol

I've had the waze disappearance a few times over the past few weeks. I think its an android auto software issue. I have unplugged the USB cable and plugged it back in after a few seconds and its fixed every time.

Most of the problems i had with AA when i used it in 2 cars ago, was solved by clearing cache and data for the AA app in the phone.
