Hello,

I'd like to start off by first just saying thank you for taking the time to help (if you can) and providing guidance in my new hobby. I have oh but a dream- to add NOS to a KIA STINGER GT2 AWD. Specifically looking into Nitrous Outlet universal EFI Dual Nozzle System (each turbo). Item #: 00-10042-10; SKU #: 00-10042-10; UPC #: 841400103447. Its my first time getting involved in the engine world- however learning on a curve. At the time of application, it is my full intent to have installed a "piggy-back system" as well. The Burger Motorsports JB4 seems to stand out being the most bang for buck- and that's just my style. If someone can guide me in depth to how to make it as safe and smooth as possible for the engines sake. (Life is all about paradoxes- engine needs are no exception). And please note, I'm trying to not modify the vehicles attire/appearance. It's going to remain a daily driver- but want to guide the top end power a bit higher. OH! Let us not forget to mention i wish to have a ECU/ EFI tune (gurgles). Thanks again!

Sincerely- MSC4speed "newb"

Best bet is to get a dedicated ECU tune for that top end power/gurgles etc

By any chance do you have insight to the cost that may be? Time / labor + part(s) = ???
Also advise on how to choose a shop- just any local shop, dealership shops, city shops vs rural ones?

Finding the best qualified and trustworthy shop/tuner in your area is a question best answered by car enthusiasts in your immediate area (maybe a Facebook or Discord group?). The sample size of worthwhile opinions of your local shops on this forum will be miniscule compared to asking a bunch of car guys/gals who live in your immediate area.

As for cost, it's going to depend on how much power the kit creates and you're looking to make, if the engine needs any additional internal beefing up, plugs, intakes, ECU tune, driveshaft/differential upgrade, and then the cost for someone to put that in and tune it (may not be the same people installing as will be eventually tuning it). No one here is qualified to give you a good estimate on this. Expect several to many thousands $$$.

Honestly, you asking these questions and seemingly not having any frame of reference already indicates this is 99% likely beyond reach for you technically or financially. Owners who can casually afford to do this to their cars just go ahead and do it (bank account is not a barrier). The owners who know how are off doing it, or already know mechanics and technical details. What you're undertaking is not what I would consider entry level performance modding. Maybe start with some intakes and a tune, then work from there.

Welcome! Just a quick note to let you know that I've moved this topic out of the community lounge and into the Stinger tuning forum...

IMHO, I think the starting point should always be a jb4. With this simple installation, you already have increased power, plus powerful logging capabilities. Even if you decide to move beyond this keep in mind that you can incrementally upgrade with the jb4 with things like E30, CPI, and WMI.
Even if you decide to move on to a dedicated ECU tune, many people still pair it with a jb4 for logging.

Hey MSC4speed,

Welcome to the Stinger Forum and congrats on the new car.

Getting into modifications on ICE vehicles can be a bit challenging at first.

I highly recommend starting with the JB4 before getting the other mods you mentioned.

Burger Motorsports created a great reliable and easy-to-use piggyback with the JB4 and you will be very happy with it.

If you have any questions about mods or if you would like a discount on anything we carry at our store, please send me a message and I would be happy to help.

Enjoy the new ride,
Daniel @ the K8 Stinger Store

We can help you dial in the N20 using a JB4 and a back end flash. Fuel volume will be an issue with a dry shot so you'd probably want WMI to go with it. But experimenting with a wet shot might be interesting.
