I saw it mentioned on here that certain years the 3.3 T was more potent than other years. Is this true? If so, what’s the story?

Sounds like hog wash.

Throughout the years of production, 2018-23, KIA always advertised the 3.3L as 0-60 MPH in 4.7 seconds.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
2017 - 2019 models without the secondary cats and a 3" exit from the muffler would have to have been quicker, surely ?

2022+ get that extra 3hp! :D

You are sort of correct.

I have the latest My23 Stinger GT 3.3L TT and it is rated at 274kW.

Earlier models were rated at 272kW.

I am not sure what year Kia upped the kW rating but I believe that it relates to the introduction of the Bi Modal exhaust which became standard equipment from the factory, after it was designed in Australia as an after market accessory.

Kia then adopted the design in the factory in Korea for the remaining models and it upped the kW rating by 2kW.

Happy to be corrected then you can read my title.

max speed limited differently based on tire setup... maybe that?

Alright, I figured it out.... and it's real dumb. I was reading a thread about tuning and mixed up MY '19 and 19 psi. Someone was talking about making less torque on 19 psi than 18 psi, due to less timing. Learned my lesson to double read things... smh
