What I won’t be doing to my Stinger today.

Saw this at the local shopping centre earlier today. The ‘pinstriping’ goes all the way around the entire car with a couple of strips on the wing mirrors to cap it off.

And yes, that is electrical tape.

The driver was an African guy, he had a flag with the same colours inside the car so I’m presuming these are the colours of his native country. I admire his patriotism and enthusiasm but he won’t be detailing my car any time soon.

He returned to his car just as I was leaving and I spotted him looking at my red car. I’m pretty sure he was thinking “Man, give me 100 rolls of yellow tape and 50 rolls of green and I could really make your car pop!”

Guess he wants to stand out. I can't stand pin stripes and am annoyed when dealers in my area put them on all their cars and want to charge you for it even when you don't want it.

Only way to get them made right around here is make them yourself (I'm originally from the UK).. Fortunately, I'm also a great cook!

I think you’re a bit off course there mate. This happened in Australia, not America. A lot of Australians, myself included, are ok with immigrants being proud of and acknowledging their country of birth provided they abide by our customs and laws once they make the decision to move to Australia.

I would argue Joshmans comment does not represent the views of the majority. Displaying your patriotism is not frowned upon around here, but trying to change peoples behavior or an established system to better match that found in your homeland will ruffle some feathers!

Hi DCBSGT, Yellow , a split one down the sides and around the front grille areas. Ive seen it in red on the black cars it looks good. Probably wont do it though being frightened of my peers.

My nemisis striles again, yes probably where i got my inspiration from . But that rafas more then a pin stripe. Did something similar with my old rex, people loved it or hated it. The vet certainly didnt have much time for her
