Hi everyone, Kia Australia suggests I use 5w-30 A5 engine oil in my Stinger GT. But I have 9L of Castrol EDGE 5w30 A3/B4 left in my garage from my previous VW car, can I use this one?
Based on my understanding, A5 oil is a bit thinner than A3/B4 oil, and it's good for fuel economy, is that right? One of the Kia dealers suggests using Castrol Magnatec 5w30 A5 Start-stop oil, but I don't see its point, maybe because it's the only Castrol oil that meets the A5 standard? Stinger doesn't have Start-stop feature in Australia
I'm interested in what oil everyone uses and do you guys have any suggestions? I don't care about fuel economy
Thanks
