I am considering a Ceramic Silver GT1 or GT2 for lease. Let's use the GT2 AWD for this thread due to their availability in the southeast US and simplicity of model variations/options within GT2.
As of today this is what I know for the GT2 AWD:
MSRP: $51400
Invoice: $48213
Dealer holdback: $1542
Lease terms are: 36 month, 10,000 miles/year, $7200 KMF lease cash, with a money factor of .00198 (~4.75APR), and a residual of 52%. A $400 disposition fee is also stated. I do not know doc. fees or acq. fees from the dealer other than a $900 freight and handling fee listed on the invoice. A "DMG Contribution" fee of $483 is listed and I have no idea what that is.
I am willing to put down $5000 cash/trade and I qualify for the military discount of $400. When I put these values into the KIA website calculator it says that the monthly payment of $501 is what would happen. It is fairly obvious that this does not include taxes or fees.
Has anyone gotten a sweetheart deal? How were you able to minimize fees and selling price? Is there a good dealer in the southeast willing to work to sell these cars? At this point, I would appreciate any input or guidance on how to input this data into a lease calculator such as the one found on edmunds website or the leasehacker calculator.
The best deal I have seen was posted by @Shivir but I have no way of knowing if that was a formal offer from the dealer. For what is out there now, it looked as good as it gets so I would like to structure my deal in a similar fashion.
