There's not many SUVs I care for, for the simple fact that they're basically just cars with raised seats and a raised beltline to match. Not really any more ground clearance gained for the handling, efficiency, and visibility that you give up.
The Crossover market is pretty much the hottest there is right now - and I'm pretty sure it's going to get competitive on a performance level very soon. In fact, it already is. It would be nice to see Kia offer something fun to drive in this range. I'm pretty sure Hyundai will have something rear wheel drive (or all wheel drive) and sporty - so it'll probably fall into Kia's hands at some point as well. Hopefully they style it aggressively and give it at least a little masculinity...
