What can we expect if the Quadrifoglio can do this?

As Richard Hammond said, these are Italian horses, but, still...

"Sporting a 90º 2.9L all-aluminum twin-turbocharged V6 engine, the Giulia Quadrifoglio delivers class-leading 505 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque between 2,500 and 5,500 rpm."

Another thread says 700-800 could technically be possible, we're already seeing 400, but does anyone think we could really see a 500+ a street-legal tune?

What are you asking? What’s the max potential of the Stinger GT?

What does the Gulia have to do with that question?

That engine is made by Ferrari...

What's a "street-legal tune"?

All tunes should be street legal, unless they remove the windshield or turn signals or some such.

That engine is used in more than one vehicle. I'm asking if a 2.9 can produce 500/443, then we might some amazing Stingers in the future!

That might help! lol..

No, there are many options for modifications that are rated "offroad use only", regardless, some people choose to run them.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

There is a lot more that goes into making HP than the displacement of the engine. Look at the old school V8s that are 6L but only make 200hp. We will see higher HP Stingers but just because the Gulia make 500 with smaller displacement doesn’t mean our transmission or rear ends can handle 500 hp.

And “off-road use only” is a legal cover our butts statement to keep the tuners from having any liability if something goes wrong.

Nope, the off-road use only is letting you know that part is not compliant with emission regulations. Either in California specifically or maybe in all states..you definitely cannot remove the mufflers in most states and be street legal. Hell in California with all their rules, you probably can't roll down the window and still be compliant..

"Off-road use only" has more than one meaning. I've seen it posted on other equipment besides intakes (HID kits for instance).

It's a parts maker's way of saying "we aren't responsible for you getting a ticket if you use 'X' item."

I'm sure we will see 500+ horsepower in tunes. I have no idea whether they'll be street legal. I can tell you almost certainly there will plenty of 500+ horsepower Stingers cruising around both street legal and not...

Heres a couple of V6s that seem to have achieved a bit more grunt :):laugh::laugh:

The V6 is certainly no joke. I find it very impressive that there are naturally aspirated V6s making 350 horsepower or more. And they've been for a while. If the naturally aspirated V6 goes on living a few more years - I wouldn't be surprised to see 400 horsepower. However, I think the 2.0T is taking over...
