so idk if what I’m experiencing is me getting use to the power or just normal:

So if I’m in sport mode and just floor the throttle from a dead stop there is a slight delay, the revs jump to around 2k, and then the car gets going. This all takes a little more than a second.

I know it’s a crazy question but normal or not normal?

sounds like turbo lag ..................but I dont get it ............not that much anyway .................

Normal. "Turbo lag" is a real thing and is never entirely eradicated. The Stinger's lag is minimal compared to many off the line (I'm going by what I have read, not personal experience). I like to get my car rolling a few feet before really giving it the full push; almost more like a steady press on the go pedal rather than a quick jam down on it. Works better for me.

Ive owned numerous WRX’s, all with turbos of course, and they were manual, so there was no perceived turbo lag off the line, but I had the benefit of dropping the clutch at a higher rpm to compensate. This is my first auto in over 25 years. So my muscle memory is trying to reset.

I found that manually starting it in 1st, plus traction / esc off seems to feel a little quicker, but maybe that's all placebo effect.. Finally got a chance to "DRIVE" it a little today..

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
This can be an attribute of DBW (Drive By Wire) systems as well, where instead of being directly linked to the throttle mechanically, the accelerator pedal send a signal to the ECU, which then interprets the signal and converts that to a change in throttle (and fueling, etc).

Yeppers ...you got taken....just like the rest of us...everyone knows Stingers cant get out of their own way.....:) Wash
