It is with great sadness (a little anyway..lol), that I will only continue on this forum as an observer...I have traded in the Stinger for the "dark side".....that being said, have a JB4 w/BT adapter/OBD2 connector that I will be putting up for sale. No decision yet on price and will negotiate shipping. Updated to latest firmware and original box. GO 2.5!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy the Supra! Was the Stinger your daily, and will the Supra be your daily now?

How much faster does the Supra feel in straight line?

Yes, and Yes........

I went for the fully loaded 2.0 which was still about 7K LESS than the 3.0. Test drove both and cannot say enough about the power in the 3.0!! However, comparing to a stock GT(neither 2.0 nor 2.5 have a chance so I will try to be "objective"...), this car(stock) has timed 13's in the 1/4 and same 0-60 as the GT.

That being said, even though there is a version of jb4 for this vehicle, no plans for tunes('21 models have locked ECU's). Although, several Scatpacks, mustang 5.0's, and Camaro V8's have pulled up on my bumper(only had the car since Friday), that was not the deciding factor in my choice. The driving dynamics are pure sports car and the tranny should get an OSCAR for best performing transmission this side of Porsche........LOL!!!

To compare ( although Stinger is not a true sports car), I take an off-ramp everyday that has a posted 30mph limit. I would push the Stinger suspension to limit and get low 40's before my "rear-end" tightened up in the seat.....took the same off-ramp today in the Supra and was above 55(rear-end never tightened - TMI)....just backed off and did 55 all the way back home ( had to peel the grin off my face when I got home...)

Still refer the Stinger to people who ask if Kia has gotten better....my answer has always been definite YES!!

Awesome, thanks for the info!

Curious--did you cross shop any other cars with the Supra? I came from a Camaro V6 to the Stinger, but if I was to go back to a two door performance/sports car I would definitely cross shop a V8 Camaro and Supra. Maybe even a 400z.

I'm too poor for a toy/weekend car though lol. The Stinger is the best of both worlds for me.

Nooo should have gotten the 3.0. It’s like getting a 2.0 Stinger lol. Have fun!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Would definitely be something I'd consider, if I was getting separate track / daily vehicles. For me the Stinger is a compromise - I want to take it to the track a few times, but it can still haul the family (2 teens) around to most things, even some trips with a lot more fun than driving the minivan..

ONLY car I cross-shopped was a '22 Stinger GT. Almost pulled the trigger on the Stinger but my daughter is about to turn 21 and she just purchased her own vehicle and I REALLY wanted another two seater ( years ago 13B RX-7 turbo) and this fit the bill......Will miss the Stinger's back hatch area though as the one in the Supra is basically non-existent...LOL

FULL 100!!!! The 3.0 Supra is king(until you get to 155mph, then you have say "i give",same as the 2.0) just like with the Stinger, the 3.3 is KING!!!!! won't get any arguments from me but I don't do "track" and it would have been just as hard to exploit the full power of the 3.0 Supra just like in the Stinger 3.3. Went with my "head"(and wallet) this time instead of my "emotions".

Another week, and it probably would have been the Stinger GT......;)

Nice!

You're not the first forum user to switch from a Stinger to a Supra it seems! ;)
