Yes, and Yes........
I went for the fully loaded 2.0 which was still about 7K LESS than the 3.0. Test drove both and cannot say enough about the power in the 3.0!! However, comparing to a stock GT(neither 2.0 nor 2.5 have a chance so I will try to be "objective"...), this car(stock) has timed 13's in the 1/4 and same 0-60 as the GT.
That being said, even though there is a version of jb4 for this vehicle, no plans for tunes('21 models have locked ECU's). Although, several Scatpacks, mustang 5.0's, and Camaro V8's have pulled up on my bumper(only had the car since Friday), that was not the deciding factor in my choice. The driving dynamics are pure sports car and the tranny should get an OSCAR for best performing transmission this side of Porsche........LOL!!!
To compare ( although Stinger is not a true sports car), I take an off-ramp everyday that has a posted 30mph limit. I would push the Stinger suspension to limit and get low 40's before my "rear-end" tightened up in the
seat.....took the same off-ramp today in the Supra and was above 55(rear-end never tightened - TMI)....just backed off and did 55 all the way back home ( had to peel the grin off my face when I got home...)
Still refer the Stinger to people who ask if Kia has gotten better....my answer has always been definite YES!!
