Basically ive come to the final decision to go for a lemon law return in florida. The car has had a good run. 43k miles on the clock. This all started when i got the car.. unhappy with the breaks radio ect. Took it in jan 4th as was having issues on the track with trans slippage. They replaced the trans under warranty. I got it back on jan 31 and went out with the family and noticed trans fluid on my driveway.. beat the service department closing and they gave it back the next day saying it was just residual. So took it home and went to work the following day.. now i work second shift so thats kinda important. It made it to work fine but after being parked for 9ish hours im ready to go home at 1am and boom.. power steering module failed upon start up.. called kias breakdown service.. i waited 8 hours for a damn tow. Got to the dealership just as they were opening up! They gave me back my rental. Because they hadnt returned it yet and now today i finally got it back. I just have no faith in the car anymore.. i feel that with all that seems to be failing on it i should just let it go.. sorry for the rant but just needed to vent. I have gotten a lemon law attorney and they have accepted my case. Ill try and keep it updated and let yall know the status and what happens.

Sorry for formatting on mobile.

What model year was this? As someone still on the fence I'm hoping they ironed out the kinks on the 2020's

This is definitely not normal. Mine is a 2018 GT2 with a Build Date of Dec 2017 and I have had zero issues. @CFLGT2AWDStinger I am sorry to hear you have had so much trouble with yours.

I have had my 2018 GT2 for about a year. Love it! No problems at all. I did discover while helping a friend with his car (not a Stinger) that the corporate policy for all dealerships (they have 19 different dealerships in the area, a dozen different brands), is that they won't do ANYTHING with a 10 year or older car - won't even cut a key for it. CORPORATE POLICY. Had to go to a different dealer than where he bought the car outside that corporation to get a key cut. So with my Stinger, when it reaches 10 y/o, anything I need, I will have to find a different Kia dealer that will work on it. I surely that doesn't become a popular policy.

Oh No, sorry you had such bad experiences with your car, I certainly understand your decision to move on.Unfortunately you can get a Lemon in any brand and looks like you got one.
I’ve had my 2019 model for 8 months now and apart from the sound in the infotainment system that would switch off until I changed it to quantum logic off, I’ve had no issues.

What a crappy experience. Such a sorry read. :( I hope that you collect every compensation due you. And that it doesn't take too long either.

Good luck with getting your rightful compensation. Has this turned you off another Stinger or maybe all Kias? I know it doesn't mean much to you now as you obviously have a lemon but Kias rank up there in the top three for reliabilty.

Not really i think its mainly this car now. Its left me stranded. Not a huge fan of that. Lawyer said 6-8 weeks to hear back so ill still be in my stinger. Perhaps it can redeem itself by than. Also have you seen the new stuff kia is putting out.. liking the new optima look for sure..

Do you really think you'll have that very same Stinger for 10 years??? People don't keep cell phones for 10 months.

Why don't you slown down. You clearly can't handle the car.

Perhaps not, but look at the segment: people keep Corvettes, BMWs, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Jags, or heck, even old MOPARs for decades, and spend big money keeping them up. Kia are marketing to that segment now with a car like this (and the K900 for that matter).

I hear you but, even though a Stinger is a nice car I don't put it the class of Ferraris, Lamborghinis or a Corvette. A BMW, Jag or a classic Mopar muscle car okay.

/shrug, I keep cars for 10 years (13 for my RAM, 11 for my ZR2).

I love being payment-free for several years straight.

I'll be keeping mine for 10 years...or more, as long as she'll have me. I mean why get a car with a 10/100,000 warranty and not use it all up! :D

Im prolly going to take the money back and but something electric. Than later on after i buy my second house get something fast again.. we shall see what the refreshed stinger looks like and if the manage to push more power into it.. i would love to see the stinger as a 500hp monster stock

Finally - Replacing my extremely troubled red 2018 gt2 tomorrow with a 2020 model replacement. Dealt with KIA the whole time on correcting the situation. Took a while but so far so good. We will see how the handoff goes tomorrow. With any luck we will seamlessly transition from a red and yellow Stinger home to a yellow and orange one. Unfortunately I think I will now be
driving the yellow while my wife takes the orange.

Wow 2 stingers? Now you have the top 2 colors, not counting ceramic grey.

It was a choice between those 2 and wife made the final call. I was leaning the other way but this will work.

I kept my '73 Mustang for 13 yrs, '86 Camaro for 11, '97 Grand Prix GT for just over 20. And I'm still using an iPhone 6+. Call me cheap, but I hope to be driving my Stinger when the DMV pries my license from my cold, octagenarian hands, so yeah, at least 10 years. I know, I'm weird, but I do qualify as "people." ;)

Well I have an R8 and a Porsche and I can tell you I put my Stinger close to these 2 Germans in happiness when I drive the Stinger I have a big smile, you band snob?
