Has anyone looked into the weight reduction route? If so, what have you found or done?

there is plenty , just look around.......rear seats buh-bye ,, courtesy cover (hatchback),see ya,spare tire...in the garage.......could be 300 lbs right there.

Lots of things aren't needed on/in the car if you're building a racer. Windshield washer fluid, spare tire, passenger seats, lighter wheels/tires, remove door panels, mirrors, window delete, catback delete, air conditioner delete (compressor, motor, fan, ducting, coolant lines), lighter battery, carbon fiber hood, carpet removal, engine cover removal, a whole host of panels under the car...

I could go on, but the point is how far do you want to take it? Mild to wild there are many places to remove weight.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

striping down one of these for a track day....interesting....It would be a lot of fun on a road course...as for the drag strip, eh why bother? the car is already engineered for the twisties......and with no v 8. waste of time, imo. But I bought it for the amenities plus I thew in th golf clubs....ha, I'm already adding weight,lol..

Eh lots of wild there, just interested mild. I can figure on which by your suggestions, more than enough...appreciate it...

I'd start by removing the owner's manual.

I reduced 45lbs by changing the stock exhaust to a full titanium one :p
