Every time it rains I get water into my back seat. I checked all the usual culprits but couldn't find anything. Today though I moved my seat all the way up and checked again. I took a look at the air duct that channels into the back seat and saw a stream of water come out when I bent the plastic openings downward.

So obviously water is collecting in the front engine compartment and getting into the AC duct, but how and why does it come through the ac duct? I imagine its where the windshield meets the windshield wipers (cowl) there are draining holes and the water is not reaching the ground through them.

PS: I don't have a sunroof.

I has something similar happen on my G70 but was mostly on the passenger side. Looks to be the AC drain clogged and spit the condensation into the car vs under it. The Tech that looked it over said it was very common for the brand as the drain is fairly small and gets clogged easily

Hello,

I came across this website looking for help. Water is leaking in the backseat floorboard. I checked the AC drain and it's not clogged and the weather strip. Everything seems to be good but can't seem to find where the water is coming from. I do not have a sunroof.

Welcome! Just letting you know that this topic has been moved out of the community lounge and into the main Stinger forum. :)
