Water inside Door Jambs

Has anyone else noticed any water filtration coming in through the door jambs when washing the car or when it rains? Is this normal or is it a gasket design issue? I have the Stinger GT2 AWD version.

Do you mean into the car, past the gaskets? If so, nothing like that for me. I dry the door jams after I wash so I think I’d have noticed.

Yes I just washed my car yesterday and had to dry the door jam area. I think this is normal. The inside of the car does not get wet.

Water on the painted part of the door jamb is normal. Inside the car is not.

Yes, it is only on the painted portion. I had a 2007 Acura TL Type-S and don't remember so much water. Not a big deal, just wanted to check with others to see if this was normal on this car. Thank you for responding!

I find water on the painted part of the jambs as well, but never past the seals.

StingerFanatico, I also have a 07 TL type S. My tranny just died a few months ago. I actually still have the car. Trying to figure out what to do with it. 200k plus miles on it.

I had mine for 11 years but it recently started giving me too many mechanical issues. Had to replace 2 of the catalytic converters (not cheap) and then they tell me the main engine seal was leaking, the engine mounts had to be replaced, the rear shocks had to be replaced and the radiator had a small leak. That was enough for me so I sold it and bought the Stinger. Never imagined a KIA would be better than an Acura, I am beyond happy with this car.
