What did they say went wrong with the bov to cause the failure? We would need more info to make an informed answer on whether or not the part was a contributing factor. And regardless of what we think, it's what Kia thinks that matters anyway.

the guy at Kia just said they sent a video to my warranty company to see if they would replace it they never diagnosed that my bov blew my turbo I think the service guys just keep saying that

any updates? i was interested in a BOV what kind did you have. Kia Motors makes the decision and not the dealership employee. ignore what they said and if it means talking to Kia Directly then i would do that. i thought nothing from the @K8StingerStore wouldn’t void warranty. that sucks…

I mis or mal adjusted BOV can absolutely contribute to turbo damage...

Did yours sound like Psshhhhhhh-TU-Tu-tu
Or
Did yours sound like Pshhhhhhhn

This guy describes it much better than me
- right in the first 10 seconds.

If it sounded like this ...... Lol

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Manufacturers warranty their original equipment from defects due to manufacture. IF you add after market parts to your vehicle and original equipment fails then you are at the whim of the manufacturer. Remember. Dealers only get paid by the factory. IF the factory rejects the warranty the dealer doesn't get paid.
If you want to modify the mechanics of your vehicle then go right ahead but do not expect the FACTORY to warranty the mechanics if they fail once modifications are installed.
It's a choice. Get it dealer serviced and leave it unmodified. Kia has no choice but to fix it for the life of the warranty.
Do anything else and you are increasing the risk of the manufacturer WITHOUT THEIR INPUT. Whether or not the modifications caused the failure is irrelevant. It's a choice. Accept the warranty or not.
