I have a 2022 GT1 and didn’t know initially upon purchasing that it didn’t come with the Harman Kardon 15 speaker set, it came with 9 speakers. I was disappointed but obviously still got the car with plans to upgrade. I love everything about the car and the speakers aren’t bad, but I need more bass. I want to upgrade these 9 speakers without buying a big woofer that’ll take up my limited trunk space. I love bass, I want something knocking but good mids and highs and good everything but amazing crisp bass. Any suggestions on where to even begin? What brand is top notch? I just want it simple change out the speakers for higher quality bass heavy speakers that sound like subwoofers, without an amp or battery, or am I way over my head? I’ll do whatever it takes including adding and amp or battery but don’t want a big sub woofer in a box in my trunk.

Appreciate you all in advance

Without adding an amp???
Good luck with that.

With adding an amp, you have a chance.

Then yes, adding an amp. Any suggestions to my post?

I’ve been looking on Crutchfield but just don’t know what I’m looking at. Any suggestions would be appreciated

The guy to reach out to would be byebyeSTI! He is awesome with audio!

Does the base audio system have the underseat subwoofers? I can't remember.

If so, they do sound much better if given more power (dedicated amp). Jeff hulbert has a video on this on YouTube. I ran it for a while and it did help, but since the factory subs are crossed so low you really need a LOC with channel summing to bring the x-over closer to 80hz (it's more like 45 from the factory). Audiocontrol or Wavtech would be good LOC options.

I eventually decided that wasn't enough and went with a 10" sub. I built a box that uses the space behind the wheel well, so cargo space loss is minimal. This is definitely not low effort (or low cost if you lack the tools/skills to DIY).

Most of the factory bass actually comes from the doors, so upgrading those could be another option.

I have focal flax 6.5s in my doors and they're definitely better, but a 6.5 can only do so much, and don't dig very deep.
Also the stock speakers are 2 ohm, so you'll likely need an amp unless you can find a high sensitivity 2ohm replacement (most options are 4ohm).
