I think the Stinger is a great car and would buy one if it came with a manual option. Hopefully Kia will offer in the future.

Yeah..I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

I could see a track focused Stinger being a limited option. That could include a manual with third pedal. But also, Could isn't very likely.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Stinger was designed to be a GT car with some legs not a track car. The Genesis on the other hand is designed to be a Sport Sedan. I think those looking for that kind of performance will prefer it in that package.

Agreed that this car with more of a true sport GT focus would be a winner. Car right now is great value but still has some underwhelming characteristics. Guess we would not see so many tuner threads if Kia had hit this one out of park and eibach wouldn’t have run out of swaybars by underforecasting demand. It’s not hard jump to think slightly beefed up suspension little more aggressive tune, sport focused manual or dual clutch trans, slightly wider stance with 19x9 F and 19x10 R , true sport seats, more aggressive exhaust note.

If Kia can do a $38k GT no reason they can’t do $40k special addition R with limited options and more sports sedan focus. I’d garuntee sales of that model.

But then I hold out hope Kia does a 2 door sports coupe on Shortened platform. They could so easily make a Cayman killer.

With the new G70 release KIA might be forced to play along with Genesis as far as options, manual gear box, etc. I have a few things going on before I can step up to a Stinger, but showed the G70 to the wife and she said she liked it better than the stinger. I like value of the stinger, and will most likely end up going that route when the rest of life catches up with my plan.
