Hey guys I have a Kia stinger 2.0 2019 base model; and want to upgrade it to its respectable potential . Does anyone Have a list of ideas; I’ve done my research already but would like to know the communities input

Drop a 3.3 in it.

I wonder if the new 2.5T can be shoe horned into the old chassis somehow...?

Realistically, a tune my get you some improvements, but not sure if it's worth the $$$.

Isn't the 2.5l the exact same engine as the 2.0l except internally? the outer dimensions should be identical. somebody correct this if it's wrong.

hey, Vinney, I have the almost exact same trim as you, a Premium '19, and the engine is exactly the same. just saying I have no inclination to modify this engine since it punches above its weight in 90 percent of the situations we drive in but of course I am interested in any conversation you generate here.

No idea. I never considered the stinger with the 2.0, seemed daftly under powered for a #3900 car. The 2.5T caught my attention is now it was adequately adequate.

Sure there's sufficient power in most driving situations, but not that punch that pins you in the seat like the 3.3 does. ymmv

The 2.0T Stinger was rightfully panned by car enthusiasts, reviewers, and youtubers because it lacked the guts for 'performance' minded owners. Kia's mindset was to slot the 2.0 model as the cost friendly option in the lineup for people who liked how the car looked and didn't otherwise need/expect much from it.

You will need to tune and even then you'll only be reaching roughly where the 2.5T starts. But that's better than where you are now, so upgrade to snorkels, add some proper intakes, and buy a tune.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
