Hey all,

Look at the 1:23:00 on this video....

I believe the highway drive assist will actually steer the car. The stinger will also have a lot of drive modes..

I did note that this was the RWD only GT, very nice - as this is the exact model I am looking to get.
Agreed, that hand-off-the-wheel lane assist tech, looks pretty impressive.

I have an Audi with the lane keep assist, and I don't know that it's all that much to get excited over. It's handy if you're planning on driving drunk or distracted, but that's about it. Put another way, I don't think it's anywhere near sophisticated enough to be called "semi-autonomous".

I agree lol its def no Tesla or Volvo. My friend has a 2017 A4 and I think Audi has done a great job of improving the system over previous years.

Volvo has an autonomous driving feature as good as Tesla's? I didn't know that. I agree that these systems are not nearly good enough to be called autonomous or even semi-autonomous. They do work "very nicely" but that's about it. Nicely. If you need to take your eyes off the road for something it can really come in handy and be a life saver. But I certainly would not depend on it at this point in time. It's just not good enough yet. Unless, maybe, you're in a Tesla (or Volvo now?).

@Jenny Wang, Volvo is taking some very big steps in the semi-autonomous technology arena. I agree I am not ready for a car to take full control of driving just yet, but the convenience of having the car "think" in those instances where you may not be able to react accordingly does offer some comfort.

Volvo, Tesla, and from the looks of it, Nissan/Infiniti's tech is all pretty good. I'm waiting for the day that any of them tell me it's ok to take a nap behind the wheel
