Oh man. Yes, definitely a hip hop fan and someone with a deep appreciation for lyricism. Tech N9ne and Eminem are definitely my top 2 artists, with Kid Cudi coming in at #3. Been listening to Em religiously since 2001. I was 6. And Tech since ‘09. Every song on Cudi’s Man on the Moon II brings back memories of some of the best times of my life.

Also among my favorites are Royce Da 5’9, Frank Ocean, Westside Boogie, Logic, Ces Cru and some others. Too many songs to list, so I won’t even try haha.

Grew up with hip hop. It’s a part of me. I enjoy other genres like grunge, rock, and blues. But they are all secondary

Yes!
I thought I was the only one.

More of an R&B guy now in my old age but when I hear some ol school Pac, Biggie, Wu Tang, Nas, Ice Cube, Dr Dre come on the XM I like to turn it up and jam. I don't listen to a lot of newer stuff but I'm a fan of Kendrick Lamar also.

The new stuff is drab and monotonous.
Compared to the artistic rhymes of the old stuff.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
My brothers!
logic kid kudi i forgot about
biggie yes pac no... well kinda... nas (i cant stand that guy) snoop dre
All the classics hold true

The modern hip hop rap industry is just spitting out trash that trends on tiktok... no one cares about the music anymore

Most of the 90s stuff I love. Nas and Wu are #1 for me. Dre and Snoop I'll pass on. I feel like they got played way too much and I got tired of them.

Other favorites:

Common
The Roots
Can-I-Bus
Eric B and Rakim
Gang Starr
Eminem
Biggie Smalls
Bone Thugs N Harmony
Mos Def
Outkast

I can't stand the stuff out there today. I couldn't even tell you who's popular today.

Ok I'm from NY so this recommendation isn't for everyone but if you enjoy lyrics without the mumble, please give Lloyd banks - C.O.T.E a listen, on that same vibe a great album from the late great DMX - exodus
