I havent driven the GT2, but has anybody used this feature? I tried it out on a toyota a couple months back and felt basically nothing.

This is the best cooling ventilated seats I have tried in any car so far. Better even than the latest Lexus 570.

My only concern with any car that has ventilated seats is that over time the vents get dirty and clogged and it is near impossible to clean the vents from inside the seat. There should be a replaceable filter installed to avoid the fan and seat vents from getting clogged. In my Sorento at first the seat use to get very cold, now it barely does.

Takes a few seconds, but then it's absolutly noticable. At the risk of getting a cold in summer, so be careful with that feature :p

The stinger is my first car with these cool seats. It takes a few minutes to really feel it for me but it's pretty nice, can really feel it. Just tried it when it arrived, can't wait for summer. I don't know if it's worth paying extra for it though, it came with mine, but it surely wasn't something I paid attention to much when choosing the trim level.

You'll appreciate cooled/ventilated seats more in the hot months. In some cars it works well enough that you can give your air conditioning a bit of a break...

In most volume cars, the ventilated seats takes air from the cabin, sucks it in via intake fans under the seats, and pushes it back out through the back of the seats.

If your car is hot, your ventilated seats will be pretty hot.

Now COOLED seats have a refrigeration-system in place. You could turn the cabin air off and still get rear cooling from those.

Well, yeah. You figure on a hot summer's day it takes a minute or two to cool the air in the cabin - and from that point on you're getting cool air from the seats. But yes - actual "air conditioned seats" are noticeably cooler...

Test drove the GT yesterday in the Aussie summer heat and yes the seats are nice and cool within a minute or so, way way faster than the AC takes to cool the cabin!

What @Checkin said does make sense where, initially, the air could be warm. But somehow or another I've never experienced that. Maybe "the butt" just doesn't feel it somehow. Now heated seats, THOSE get hot. :p

Totally agree, 43c here in outer Sydney yesterday & today, the cooling in these seats just lift it to another level of comfort on a hot day, another plus for owning this car.
