Hey everyone, we are a little late to the party here. However, I wanted to let you all know that we will soon be launching our Kia Stinger specific website very soon.

We plan to have the largest selection of products available for the vehicle, as we are able to order anything made for the car.

We are the North American Distributor of the authentic S. Korean 3.0K emblems that you see all over the place.

You have to be careful when ordering them from eBay or Amazon though, as about 90% of the ones sold there are replicas being made in China.

When all is said and done, it's up to the buyer where he/she wants to buy their emblems. But I would appreciate it if you could leave that for me and promote everything else to your heart's desire.

I'm not charging hundreds of dollars per month like some other forums out there - I'm just looking to cover costs and keep the place ad free for our members. Definitely something we can chat about, however, the 3.0K emblems are our main product. We have been selling them as the exclusive North American distributor for several years now. So it would be difficult to justify paying to vend on this site, but not sell our main product we have been selling for 5 years now to the KDM community. With that being said, if you are willing to allow us to sell all of our products on the forum, including the emblems, I would be more than happy to come on board as a vendor here on the site. As you mentioned, at the end of the day it is up to the buyer where they want to order the product from, so it would be fair game to allow all vendors to sell whatever they want to sell. I have to admit though, having an ADMIN of a forum, who is also acting as a vendor selling products, many times can be a conflict of interest. Being that we are currently a site sponsor on about 5 or 6 different forums currently, I have never heard or seen that before. Usually the ADMIN would need to be unbiased and that can be difficult if the vendors paying to sell on the site are in competition with the person running the site.

I didn't realize that badges were your main product. You don't feel you'd be able to get a solid return on your $20 investment selling tunes (and other high performance parts) here? I'm sure this is going to be a community heavily interested in tuning and aftermarket performance upgrades. I figured you'd do really well with something like this:

I see you sell:
- air intake systems
- oil catch cans, coil-overs
- springs and various suspension components
- performance exhausts
- blow off valves
- spark plug upgrades
- various tunes
- intercoolers
- downpipes

All stuff that enthusiasts will be interested in here. And then there's non-performance stuff like lighting upgrades. And again, I'm not charging an arm and a leg. If you can sacrifice your badges for the ability to sell everything else - for $20 per month - I don't know. That seems like it could be a very lucrative endeavor...

Oh and just to be clear. All I'm asking is that you don't specifically advertise the badges in the community. If somebody clicks their way to your site interested in a catch can and wants to buy your badges, that's perfectly fine...

No problem, also, many don't know that we have a contract with the manufacturer to be the only distributor of the authentic product in the US & Canada.

Unfortunately, there are dozens and dozens of fake replicas and knockoffs sold all over eBay and Amazon, I've already noticed a member here posting up pics of the replica 2.0 older style emblems that mimic the authentic 3.0K emblems that we sell. The member most likely doesn't even realize he got a replica, and not the original product.

So you see, I am not debating that we would not see a ROI for selling other parts here on the forum. However, my concern is more along the lines of knockoff emblems being bought and members commenting on how they don't last, or the quality isn't good, and others getting confused about the whole thing, and thinking that the emblems members are getting and having issues with are the same emblems we are selling. It is important to me that if we are on the forum here selling tunes, and many other products, as we already have around 60 new items that will be listed on the new website once it goes live, that we also are able to sell the authentic 3.0K emblem product that we have spent so many years building up in the community of Kia owners. Maybe we can work with you directly to supply you with the authentic product, and we both can work together to supply the community with high-quality products.

I too would love to see a symbiotic relationship if possible. The Admin is doing them a favour keeping their posts on this fantastic forum as what is effectively, free advertising for them.

Yes, I gave David a call and we had a good talk. I was skeptical at first, as I always am, but by the end of our conversation I felt very comfortable with the idea that I'd met my ethical match. I don't want to bore you with too many details but I'm very confident you're in excellent hands with K5 - which will be the exclusive "Kia 3.0" badge vendor here as I'm convinced there's no one better to deal with. Are there cheaper versions available? Yes. Are they going to last for the life of your Stinger? Probably not. Not only that - but you're (like with me) getting your badges shipped the same day from a reliable source.

I'll still be offering the script "Stinger" script trunk and hood "E" badges here as I feel many people will want them - and I'll be a reliable, same day mailed source as well.
