Valet switch

Hi all. I am new to this forum just got my stinger a few months ago and I’m super impressed with it! Never thought Kia could be so badass anyway I do have a question. I have been trying to find the valet switch on my 2019 GT1 stinger and my dealership says that’s the reason my trunk button doesn’t work.. What is everyone’s thoughts and can anyone help me? Lol

Valet switch... hmm... I've never heard of Stingers having one. I've had my car for over a year and a half and this is the first time I've ever tried using the button on my key fob. Doesn't open my trunk either. Just flashes the lights twice. Now I need answers

Yeah I was a little confused when he said that cause I’ve been looking all over my car for the switch he said it was in the glove compartment but I didn’t see it in there at all.

I have a '19 GT1 - trunk button does nothing. On the GT2 model, there's a power open/close trunk feature. That's probably what that button is for..

Apparently the techs would rather you not remotely start the car while they are under the hood working on it, so the Valet mode is provided to disable the remote fob. I reckon all fob functions are disabled, although I didn't check them out.
