UVO update price

Hello,

I currently have a kia forte 5 and I get charged for a software update.
I would like to know if anyone has any experience about the price of the software update.

I don't have my car yet, but researching the nav system shows twice-yearly map updates at $150-180 a pop. I don't know if those updates include normal Kia software updates or just the maps.

That is what I was hoping for. I am planning to use CarPlay for my navigation, but I hope software updates are free. On my kia forte you have to pay of for both as their is no option to update only the software. I hope this has changed with uvo.

Guess it depends where you are. In Switzerland we have this: Kia Map Update - Kia Motors AG ... aka free map update for 7 years, 6 updates in total. It says "for all cars using a builtin Kia Navigation system from LG". Whatever that means ... I assume all Kias since 2014 have that. It does mention it again on the Stinger page here, without the LG extra bit.
