Going to be heading out to my local race night this weekend again and I now have access to launch mode. What exactly are the limitations on using it? I've tried researching it and some say drive the car Civil for a hour and others say park and so on and so forth I can't find anything definitive. Depending on how you do you can have 3 to 8 races in the span of 6 hours.

Mostly what I've heard is that you need to give the transmission some time to cool off. It's the major load center of the whole "launch mode" operation, so it's going to be taking a beating and you want to give the components time to cool back down. If you have access to power (generator or plug) you could bring a shop fan and cool it off between runs if you're really concerned.

Driving it civil or parking it all get at the same goal - cooling the transmission/drivetrain - either by running air over it or just letting it sit. I imagine it should be nice a cool in Canada by now to just let the car sit between runs and be fine.

Yea the temperature is about-3 at night. Thanks for the in depth post.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Kia's launch mode is very safe, it won't let you build boost if the tranny is too cold, or too hot. It's very safe and they wouldn't put themselves in a predicament where they are replacing tranny's on every Stinger. Run it, run it hard!
