There seems to be a surprising amount of changes in the base models, 2019 2.0 then 2020 moves to GT-Line. It it worth spending more on the 2020?

Currently there is a used 2019 with 11k miles for $25,988. This seems to be in the ballpark for what I've been seeing used-price-wise. (It's at a Cadillac dealer, so they'd probably come down.)

A new 2020 GT-Line is $28,195. ($34,415 msrp - 1721 dealer disc - 4500 Kia disc). I also see the Lease tips, but I need to learn more about that yet.

Looking for your thoughts on the changes to the 2020 vs 2019, and wheather it's worth it? FWIW my budget was $25k, and I've already realized I'm going over, but this is the car I want.

Just make sure it isn't this one; I'm sure, it has to still be there. :P

Not that one. That doesn't look bad to me, but.... is that a bunch of chrome finishing all over the vehicle?

Way too much chrome on that, especially around the wheels. The chrome accentuates the body of the car, but in a bad way.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Big difference is warranty. Kia warranties don't transfer to the next owner. The next owner only gets a half warranty of the full one so it goes down to a more traditional 3 years bumper to bumper and 5 years powertrain from the full 5/10 year of a new one.

ETA: I re-read your post and realized you are talking 2019 base vs. 2020 base... so the only differences are (AFAIK) wireless charging and the GT-looking wheels, flat-bottom steering wheel, and bumpers. 2020 might have added rear cross-traffic alert or some other passive safety feature as standard (I'm too lazy to look it up).

IMHO, between the better warranty and a new car loan rate vs. used, you're better off with the 2020.

Is the 2019 the "Premium" or Base? The Premium has some really nice upgrades, the most notably being the LED headlights, moonroof, and HK Sound system.

The 2020/2021 GT-Line is very different in terms of packaging. The 'base' got GT-style wheels (18" instead of the GT's staggered 19"), GT side vents, GT flat bottom steering wheel, and GT bumpers. Instead of the Premium trim, there's a $2900 "Sun and Sound" package that is roughly equivalent to the 2018/2019 Premium model... however it doesn't include the LED headlights.

2020+ has wireless charging, if you care about that.

I jumped at the 2021 but wish it had the LED headlights, and would have traded other options for it.

Hope this helps.

GT Look and LED headlight would be a must for me. Non GT Look and Projector headlight make the car look very cheap in my opinion.

The second picture is definitely the GT, not the GT-Line, based on the Brembo brakes and (presumably) 19" wheels.

The GT-Line, at least in the US, looks like the bottom pic minus the headlights and bigger wheels/Brembos. It has the bumpers, black chrome mirrors, etc. that we see here.

Sorry for the confusion this is indeed a GT. I though the LED headlights were available as an option for the GT-Line...

This is a GT-Line from Canada with the LED headlight, but maybe not be available in USA :

No worries Jayphil. From a US-model perspective, that looks like the 2018-19 Premium (based on the wheels) but with the rest of the 2020+ GT-line bodywork. I could have totally gone for this combo if they had it available! I actually like the "base" wheels more than the 18" pretend-to-be-a-GT alloys.
