Use Kia Nav Voice Prompts and Apple CarPlay?

Hi, was wondering if there is a way to use kia's nav through voice prompts and CarPlay for music phone and messages?

Seems when the phone is in to car play the voice prompts just default to siri rather than allowing me to use the Uvo prompts for Nav and such

CarPlay and AA completely take over infotainments in most cars when in use. There's no way around, unfortunately.

So my Only choice to get Nav on the HUD is to unplug the iPhone do the voice prompt and replug if while driving?

On Android auto, there is a button that allows you to return to the Kia system without unplugging the phone, so maybe airplay has that too?

It lets you go back but CarPlay and Siri still control voice commands it seems

For Voice Control, yes, you won't be able to use it with CarPlay/AA active.

Why not just use Apple Maps though?

It doesn't, but it does give you voice prompts and shows on the main infotainment screen.

If you want to use your phone plugged in but still use Kia nav, you can just disable CarPlay on the phone, then it'll act like a regular USB device.

Just change Siri voice on your iPhone if you find it original annoying.
