I've seen discussions about the exhaust valves on the Stingers. Most seems to be centered around the pre-2022 models. I have a US specification 2023 GT2. I see that I can affect the sound from the dash's settings but that seems to be mostly feedback from the interior speakers.
I also have a C8 Corvette with the NPP performance exhaust option so I am generally familiar with this system.
I looked under it this morning and saw the valves and the control modules.

Is there any documentation on how these valves affect the exhaust flow through the resonator? And what situations/configurations cause them to be open? I can't tell if the outside sounds are changed by the various driving modes.
One post I read suggested to simply unplug the wire leading to the control module (see yellow arrow). Is there any downside to that? I can't really see the end of the wire. I'm concerned over the connectors getting covered with mud and trash and then being difficult to reconnect. Any ideas on how to protect them? Is there an alternative to disconnecting AT the exhaust tip? Maybe even a separate switch to force them open or closed.
