US exhaust

Does anyone know if the drifting cars at SEMA have the US exhaust. I saw a article where they mentioned this but in the same sentence talk about aftermarket. Can anyone verify. If this is the exhaust sounds about perfect to me , I would like to hear start up and ilde. I don' want an exhaust that' going to get annoying on a 2 to 8hr of highway driving. I plan on driving my stinger not racing or drifting.

I'm not sure so I'll let somebody else chime in - but unless the exhaust you're hearing is really loud - you're not going to get any drone on the highway. In any event, I'm pretty sure at least one of the cars was using an aftermarket exhaust system. I haven't had much time at my computer over the past week so I'm behind on what happened at SEMA...

I was told by someone from Kia Corporate that they added down pipe for the drifting.So it’s not going to be stock...It was for the show.
She also said that you can add the Borla Exhaust that was on Orange Stinger displayed at the Sema, and according to her ,it sounded pretty amazing .

I also wonder when Borla will release their exhaust for Stinger but Koreans are far ahead of them, each engine has three types including EVC where you can make your exhaust quieter with closing the valve. Same option available from German Bastuck but at much higher price.

Would anyone be interested in just a muffler delete exhaust as an option? Or does everyone want a full catback system? Here is a dyno sheet of our shop car before and after the mufflers were deleted.

About a 45 horse power gain with just removing the mufflers? I've never done muffler delete before but it sounds pretty good. I guess with all the secondary cats and third, fourth, fifth, whatever the hell they do these days, it doesn't sound too bad. If you took the muffler off it would sound like crap.

We posted a video above of the sound and no with the muffler delete it was a 12whp and 14trq increase. We are just throwing out some options for the community. We want everyones feedback on what they would like to have available for the car.

Sorry I read the dyno sheet wrong. Muffler delete sounds pretty good. I'd give that option a vote.

Everything is illegal in California. Modified cars WITH mufflers are often much louder than this Stinger in the video without them.

Ehh depends on where you live to be honest. I would be surprised if you were to get in trouble for just having a mufflers takin off on the vehicle.

No issues removing mufflers around my area. Removing catalytic converters is where it starts getting questionable.

Always good to have more exhaust options. Sound is subjective.

I've been emailing Borla the last couple weeks trying to get info about their exhaust and I finally got a response.......

Good to know. Any chance you could send an email asking them to come here and update us at kiastinger.com? It would be nice to have them here and instantaneously find out what's going on at Borla...
